“I’m honored to formally join United to House Los Angeles as campaign co-chair in their work to confront the city’s affordability crisis, reduce homelessness, and protect our most vulnerable community members. This cause is close to my heart as President of SEIU Local 2015, the nation’s largest long-term care union representing more than 400,000 nursing home and home care workers here in California, many of whom struggle to make ends meet and afford housing in cities like Los Angeles that seem to grow more expensive by the day. If we want to ensure that working families can live where they work, we need to implement measures that protect the supply of existing affordable housing in our city, while simultaneously creating new affordable housing in our communities. This is the mission of United to House Los Angeles and I’m thrilled to join them in this fight.”
