Members of the local health care workers union returned to the county supervisors’ meeting on Tuesday demanding health care and better pay, which they say are not cutting it given the difficulty of their jobs and spiraling inflation.
Members of SEIU Local 2015 stressed to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, which was set to engage in labor negotiations with the union during closed session, that they are struggling with the cost of living despite taking care of some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
