SHASTA LAKE, Calif. — The Shasta County Board of Supervisors convened their first meeting in a temporary location at the Shasta Lake City Council Chambers on Tuesday, drawing a significant crowd despite a routine agenda.
The regular board chambers in downtown Redding are closed for two months as it undergoes upgrades to the audiovisual system and other significant upgrades. The meeting’s high attendance required a ticketing process due to the council chambers’ limited capacity of 62 seats and a total capacity of 90, resulting in standing room only.
